About us
Heating and Cooling Help in Fremont
Ozone Heating & Cooling repairs and installs heating and cooling systems for homes in Fremont and nearby cities. A repair visit usually starts with a system that isn't doing its job: an AC blowing warm air on a hot afternoon, a furnace that won't light, or a unit that keeps cycling on and off. We find the cause first. Then we walk you through the options, including when a repair makes sense and when replacement is worth considering. If you're weighing a new AC or heat pump, we'll talk through sizing, your home's layout, and the current local rules and incentives so you can decide without pressure.

My AC is running but the air isn't cold. What could be wrong?
Common causes include a dirty air filter, a frozen evaporator coil, a failed capacitor, a refrigerant leak, or an outdoor unit that isn't running. Check the filter and make sure the thermostat is set to cool. If that doesn't fix it, turn the system off to avoid further damage and have it diagnosed.
Should I repair my old AC or replace it?
It depends on the system's age and condition, what failed, and how often it has needed repairs. We'll explain what we found and give you both options so you can compare them before deciding.
Do I have to replace my gas furnace because of the new Bay Area rules?
No. The Bay Area Air District rules don't require replacing working equipment. They apply only when an existing furnace fails or is replaced. Gas furnaces manufactured from 2029 must meet a zero-NOx standard, which in practice points homeowners toward heat pumps when they replace a furnace after that date.
Can I still get the federal tax credit for a new heat pump?
No. The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit (25C) covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025. It isn't available for installations after that date.
Are there local incentives for heat pumps or electrification?
Bay Area homeowners can check BayREN and their local clean energy provider for current heat pump and electrification incentives. Amounts and availability change by funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer before including it in a quote.
How do I know what size AC my home needs?
Sizing depends on your home's square footage, insulation, windows, sun exposure, and layout. Local climate matters too. The area has dry summers and mild, damp winters, and inland spots run noticeably hotter in summer than areas near the Bay. We look at these factors before recommending a system.
